It’s More Fun in the Philippines

By this time next week, I will be running like a headless chicken trying to tie loose ends at work. People working overseas would know how it is when you are about to go on your annual vacation.For the most of us, its not really a vacation. We simply just “go back home”. We don’t just sit and relax. We go out do a gazillion errands so we don’t have to worry about them when we go back to our adoptive countries. Also, we go out and meet friends, families, business partners, etc. It’s never a vacation.

This photo of my sister and I was taken in Davao around 2007 (I think…). We haven’t seen each other personally since. But in two weeks, we will both be going back home! And we will be going back to Davao.

 

Hmmm, maybe we should recreate this photo, no?

I’ve lived in the Philippines for most of my life but I haven’t really been to the nice touristy places there. Of course I have been to some but that was ages ago and I did not own a proper camera. Most of my photos were blurry. The good ones were probably taken by someone else (hey classmates, do you have a nice photo of me?!)

Now, equipped with a better camera, (the best camera is the camera you always have — in this case, it’s  my iPhone. LOLS!) I want to go places. Take lots of photos. Simply enjoy the change in scenery.

Anyway, sorry for the lack of updates. I have been very busy at work (and very lazy at home most of the time!!). I will try to post more before our trip. In case you don’t hear from me, please check out my Facebook Page, I will be uploading photos there!
