Tried: Nando’s Al Qasba

It has been ages since I last stepped inside Nando’s. It’s not that I don’t like it, in fact, I remember enjoying my meal immensely. For the life of me, I can’t think of a valid reason  why I haven’t come back to this restaurant.

So when I got an invite to dine at their newly renovated store in Al Qasba, Sharjah, I did not waste time. This has been long over due, my dear Peri-peri Chicken. Nando’s is famous for its Portuguese flamed grilled, butterfly-cut chicken which is marinated for a whole day and then basted with your choice of sauce.

My bestest best friend joined my for dinner. She has very weird taste buds, very hard to please. She makes a good companion for food tasting. LOL!

But first, here’s the new look of Nando’s Al Qasba:

The ambiance is very warm and cozy.

I love love love this area. Separate but not excluded, if you know what I mean.

Sauces! The staff caught me taking this photo and he smiled so wide, “you like spicy sauces, madam?” … I love spicy food, but I know I won’t be able to handle Nando’s Extra Hot Peri Peri sauce!!

We ordered Full Platter (Lemon Herb Chicken) with 4 regular sides. I should have just replaced the coleslaw with corn on the cob because it was sooooooo good!

This meal is supposed to be for 2 – 3 people. It was more than enough for the two of us.

For dessert, we ordered Chocolate Walnut Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream. YUM!!

The experience was so flawless. Staffs were very patient and accommodating. I observed them when dealing with other customers as well, they really are very understanding and they explained very well when asked if they have “not spicy” chicken. 😀

I asked our server about the re-opening of the store and she politely carried on to tell us about it. She even apologized as they were having A/C issues at the moment which is really not that bad. If only I could remember their names to give them a proper shout out!

The food is awesome as expected. (I wasn’t a fan of the coleslaw, though). If ever you’re around the area, do check it out.
