A B & Me Blogger in Focus : Pear Tree Diaries

August 14, 2014 by Sheila | A B & Me 6 Comments

It’s time for another blogger feature!

Let me tell you something about our next blogger. I first met her in late 2012. It was the first “event” I attended as a blogger and I was really nervous, I mean, I didn’t know anyone personally! I was so glad that the people in the group were so nice and chatty that I got comfortable immediately.

Then the food came. It was good food but she did not like the meat (was it beef or lamb? I forgot). She said, “I’m going to tell the chef“, and she did! My mouth was open as she told the chef (very politely, of course) what she thought was wrong with the food. That’s what you call unbiased review!

[That is also why I can never be a food blogger … I love food and I would probably just eat without any comments. HAH!!]

Our Blogger in Focus for today is …

Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!

I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.

Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.

I think I might have been there in the same event… this young blogger is pretty much a spitfire… bluntly honest. I love her mini humorous daily tweets.

Thanks Jasmine for putting me under the spotlight:)

Hey there!
We’re a Filipino family of four figuring things out in California after living in Dubai for years. This space is part blog, part memory box—where we share life lately, parenting wins and fails, travels, and everything in between.

Sometimes it’s deep, sometimes it’s funny, but it’s always honest. Thanks for hanging out with us!

Found this gem while sorting through my phone. Thi Found this gem while sorting through my phone. This was taken a couple of years ago, during the pandemic. I always thought it was funny… but when I showed it to Adam again, he finally told me who he was talking to. 😂

It moved me in a different way this time. Because honestly? We do this a lot. We call on God, and when He answers… we put Him on hold.

But Scripture reminds us:
“Then you will call on Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” — Jeremiah 29:12

If we call, He answers. The question is—are we ready to listen? And when He calls us, are we willing to pick up?

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me.’” — Isaiah 6:8

Yes, God. Here I am.
