We were at Deira City Centre last night for some grocery shopping. We haven’t had dinner yet so we decided to eat at Carluccio’s. This wasn’t my first time to dine in this Italian Cafe and Restaurant and it hasn’t disappointed me just yet.
The Vegetable Fries is an instant favorite for A, B and me! It’s a mix of crispy breaded zucchini, aubergine and red bell pepper.
Here is B enjoying her “fries”. The little one never ceases to amaze me. I thought she would not eat the fries or at least not the bell peppers. But lookie here … She loves the peppers the most!
We also ordered Parmigiana – white pizza of thyme roasted aubergine, Mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses with fresh basil. It was their pizza of the day (night?)
Mr. A ordered Chicken Saltimbocca which is chicken breast with turkey bacon and sage leaves, served with pesto potatoes and rocket leaves.
As for me, I ordered a favorite : Penne Giardiniera. I just can’t get enough of this dish. This dish made me fall in love with zucchini!

The bill is for four people (well, 3 and a half to be precise). While I am happy with the food and service, I think the price is a bit too steep. Amirite?
