Plants vs. BabyMama

Remember my little celery experiment? Well, I am finally calling it. Time of death: 08:02, 31 January 2013. 

It didn’t survive at all. I saw no roots. I transferred the celery to a small shallow cup and even put it outside to get some beautiful sun… but all failed. Our yaya has been telling me that its not going to survive. I didn’t listen. I kept telling her that its supposed to rot on the outside but fresh stalks are forming inside… (at least that’s what I’ve read).

Yaya is probably laughing at me behind my back. 

I’m still determined to have a small garden. I will try another celery experiment soon. Probably add some tomato and bell pepper since I already have potting soil ready. But for now, I guess this would do:

I bought this small Gardenia plant in Ikea. It is now sitting comfortably on my new “home office” desk, near the window so if can soak up some sun. 

I’m praying begging to the plant gods  hoping that she won’t suffer the same fate as my celery stalk. :/
