The past few weeks have been… a lot. Chaotic, emotional, and honestly, a bit of a blur. Alvin had to fly home to take care of Adrian, who’s been battling ASPS (Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma). We had a bit of a scare, but thankfully, he’s slowly stabilizing. We’re still raising funds for his treatment, and it’s been one of those seasons that really reminds you how fragile—and precious—life is. If you’d like to learn more or support his journey, you can visit our GoFundMe here.

At the same time, we lost another loved one. It’s hard to even put into words, so I’ll probably write more about it when things feel a little clearer. For now, it’s just one day at a time.
With Alvin away, I’ve been back to being the primary person running the house—school, chores, meals, errands, everything. The silver lining is seeing the kids step up and help without being asked twice (well, most of the time!). It’s these small things that keep me grounded.
So, for now, I’m taking it week by week. I don’t really have a set plan for what’s next on the blog, but I’ll keep showing up when I can. Sometimes that’s all we can do … just keep going, even slowly.
Hey there! I’m a mom of two who loves to crochet. Balancing work and motherhood is crazy, but I handle it with love and humor. With my eldest entering her tween years, the chaos just got a whole lot more interesting!
I’m fueled by coffee and dream of working from home. When I need to chill, I turn to my trusty essential oils. They’re my secret weapon for staying sane in the madness.
Join me for mom life, crochet, and my journey to work from home and retire before life passes me by.
