Dressing To Impress

May 26, 2013 by Sheila | A B & Me Leave a Comment

If you have an event to attend, such as a wedding, a prom, a charity ball or a top-notch dinner, finding an outfit to suit the occasion can be stressful.

In order to narrow the many options down, you should begin by assessing the nature of the event in question. For example, if it’s a daytime wedding that is set to go on long into the evening, comfy yet attractive shoes are a necessity. Alternatively, pop a pair of foldable pumps in your bag.

A dinner date will require something a little more conservative to that of a cocktail party, and a dress that finishes at the knees is a better option than an outfit that is a little on the short side.

For a ball, choose something demure yet dressy, such as a floor length, backless gown or a strapless prom number. Match your shoes to your clutch and keep the clutch in question neat. Oversized bags will only take the attention away from your dress.

The easiest way to source and compare a number of outfits is to look online. The web is home to an array of department stores, many of which house a large number of brands. And the best thing about shopping online is that you don’t even need to hit the shops! Those with hectic work and home schedules greatly appreciate this option, as it allows them to shop from anywhere with an active internet connection.

From peplum dresses to strapless prom numbers and elegant ball gowns to bodycon styles, at Isme.com ladies fashion choices are endless. It is therefore important to establish your shape and once you are aware of this, choose the cuts that suit your figure. It is important to choose an outfit that you feel comfortable in to ensure that you feel confident in what you’re wearing. If you are constantly fidgeting with hems or tugging on the bust line, you will spend more time focusing on your attire than you will on the event ahead.

Hello!

Hey there!
We’re a Filipino family of four figuring things out in California after living in Dubai for years. This space is part blog, part memory box—where we share life lately, parenting wins and fails, travels, and everything in between.

Sometimes it’s deep, sometimes it’s funny, but it’s always honest. Thanks for hanging out with us!

Sometimes the best memories aren’t from big adventures but from the simple moments—like game night in a cozy cabin, laughing until our stomachs hurt. We booked our Big Bear stay through @airbnb and @avantstay gave us the perfect backdrop for a weekend full of fun, comfort, and family time. Definitely one for the books.
