Coffee Morning with UAE Mom Bloggers at Picture People (and a Giveaway!!)

As a working mom, I only have 1 day off (yes, 1!!) which means Fridays are spent sleeping and spending time with the family. But last weekend, UAE Mom Bloggers had its very first meet up. I didn’t want to miss it so, screw sleep! Right?

By around 10 am, we were at Picture People in Wasl Vita, Jumeirah. I have to admit, one of the reasons why I wanted to come is because I saw the beautiful photo shoot done for Tarana’s family (sandinmytoes.tk) a few weeks before.

I love photo shoots especially for special occasions  — like for B’s first and second birthday.

When we arrived, we were told to mingle. I suck at mingling big time. I think at some point I said to A — “It’s too early to be conversing in English … my brain is on holiday!” LOL. 

Sandy (gingerandscotch.com) approached me. I tried to act as normal as I could. I mean, it’s THE Ginger and Scotch! But alas! My brain betrayed me. I couldn’t even remember my words. #fangirl #facepalm #igotnochill

After a while, we were told that we will have our group shot first. We went inside camera room 3 and arranged ourselves by height, of course. I’m so happy to finally meet someone taller than me! 

But according to the photographer, there’s just so many tall people, so we had to rearrange. Presenting, UAE MOM BLOGGERS (at least those who were able to join :P)

We then waited for our turn to have our photo shoot. I wasn’t really expecting much at this point because B was already cranky. She didn’t want any of it. She held on tight to Mr. A and didn’t want to look at the camera at all. 

But the photographer was ever so patient and nice that she even let B to take some (pretend) photos using her camera. Eventually B eased up and started to pose. I was surprised that we got a lot of beautiful shots! We didn’t feel pressured at all. Such a different experience from our other photo shoot.
