Christmas Decorating 2012 : Red & White

So, my twitter page and Facebook timeline was flooded with different emotions, from shock to disappointment due to the loss of PacMan to Marquez. I must admit, I am not a boxing fan but I felt weak when I saw a photo of Pacquiao knocked out, lying face down. I sure hope he’s OK.

Ever since I moved here in Dubai, I never had a “proper” Christmas celebration. I don’t know. I guess it’s because I always felt that this is not my home. I barely hear Christmas songs played on the radio. (or maybe I’m not tuned in long enough?) This year, I want a change. I want to decorate the apartment.

Last year I was back in the Philippines and once again I was able to celebrate Christmas like we used to. I put up the tree, decorated the house, cooked food and entertained kids. LOTS of kids. I had so much fun and I want Blake to experience the same.

So this year, I am turning to Mr. Google and Ms. Pinterest for some inspiration.

So obvs, it’s going to be a red and white Christmas theme (with a slight hint of green). I’m on the scout for really cheap decors. The plan is to wear something red/white on Christmas eve with our Santa hats on and have some fun with the camera.

What’s your theme this year?

Awww. This is good to hear. Please post pics once you’re done decorating.

No Christmas for us this year. 🙁 We’ll be busy packing and unpacking. Oh well… a nomad’s life.
